Is Social Recruiting the new way to find a job?

25 May 2011
As the economy continues to recover, the labour market fails to catch up for the millions of people out of work.

With many unemployed workers, recruiters are more selective than ever, forcing job seekers to turn to innovative ways to search for potential job opportunities. The best advantage a job seeker has in a competitive market is their relationships, how do you best network to form the right relationships to sharpen that edge?

One of the ways job seekers are expanding their networks is through social media. As social media platforms have evolved, many more job seekers and recruiters are making the most out of their social media connections for business networking, or what many now refer to as “social recruiting.”

A recent Internships.com survey found that 79% of job/internship seekers are comfortable with recruiters reaching out through social media.

Online job boards were the preferred destination for job seekers, now social recruiting is leading the way in matching bringing together opportunities and opportunity seekers.

Why not jump on the social recruiting bandwagon and follow Randstad Technologies on FacebookLinkedin and Twitter to stay close to the IT market and search for job opportunities.
