New technologies, new IT jobs

According to the latest research from the firm Cisco, new IT jobs have recently developed. This is the result of combined factors including new collaborative ways of working and the development of new technologies such as cloud computing or virtualisation.
 
The reports mentions, that employees working with other recently integrated IT team members, will be exposed to new technologies and new career opportunities. 50% of IT professionals surveyed expressed they were expecting new work opportunities to appear in the next 2 to 3 years.
 
The survey was sent to 1300 senior level IT professionals in 13 different countries and examined datacentre trends, cloud computing and virtualisation.
 
3 main factors have been recognised to change the shape of datacentre: Mobile access for employees (33%), datacentre virtualisation (32%) and a unified LAN and WAN (29%).
 In terms of cloud computing, just 18% of IT managers surveyed said they are currently using it, while an additional 34% said that they are planning to do so. Cloud computing usage is expected to be highest in India (76%), Brazil (70%), China (69%).
